RBI Grade B Phase I and Phase II preparation

RBI Grade B syllabus and preparation guide

RBI Grade B preparation is broader than a standard bank PO path. Phase I needs General Awareness, English, Quant, and Reasoning. Phase II needs Economic and Social Issues, Finance and Management, and writing skills. The guide below makes those layers visible before a learner enters the journey.

Separate stage maps keep prelims, mains, or phase-based preparation from becoming one mixed list.

Preparation plan

A practical study loop for RBI Grade B

Do not use the syllabus as a checklist only. Use it as a sequence: learn a topic, solve a small set, review mistakes, then take a timed set after the method is stable. This keeps practice measurable and reduces random question-hopping.

  1. 1. Use Phase I quizzes for screening speed while maintaining a strong GA revision loop.
  2. 2. Study ESI and Finance/Management as concept areas, not just fact lists.
  3. 3. Practise writing answers and precis regularly so Phase II expression improves with content knowledge.
  4. 4. Use mock review to decide whether the next week needs factual revision, conceptual reading, or timed drills.
